It's Monday, What are You Reading? (10)

What are you reading on Mondays? is a meme hosted by Sheila. This is our opportunity as bloggers to share what we've read in the past week and what we plan on reading this week. If you'd like to join in (it's really fun), go to One Persons Journey Through a World Of Books and add your name to the list.

What I Read Last Week:

Austenland ~ Shannon Hale 3/8
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian ~ Sherman Alexie 3/9
The Vampire Diaries: The Awakening ~ L.J. Smith 3/10
The Struggle ~ L.J. Smith 3/11
When Heaven Weeps ~ Ted Dekker 3/13
BoneMan's Daughters ~ Ted Dekker 3/14
The Fury ~ L.J. Smith 3/14
Dark Reunion ~ L.J. Smith 3/14

Currently Reading:

Nothing. But, I'm going to start either The Sherwood Ring by Pope or Skip-Beat! a new manga series once I'm finished here.

Planning to Read This Week:

The Sherwood Ring ~ Elizabeth Marie Pope
Skip-Beat! Vol. 1-18 ~ Yoshiki Nakamura
Tantalize ~ Cynthia Lettich Smith
Thunder of Heaven ~ Ted Dekker

I had to make a library outing today. I just finished reading my last library book just after noon so I needed new ones to read. Worked out pretty well too, cause I had read the first two books in the Vampire Diaries series early last week and had put the last two books on hold at the Fairfax library on Friday. I'm sure you noticed that I just read the last two books today. I was ever so glad that hold was so readily available. The other series I'm working my way through is The Martyr's Song series by Ted Dekker. I had purchased The Martyr's Song a few months ago without realizing that it was part of a series that can be read like the Circle series. In any order. I was fortunate enough to have purchased the book that the series revolves around. When Heaven Weeps seems to fit perfectly as a second book in the series and Thunder of Heaven fits the bill of a third book. I am sooo looking forward to reading that one this week!

Enough about me. What did YOU read this week?

Hey there, I finished both volumes of Sorcerers & Secretaries by Amy Kim Canter in like 20 minutes. They were fun to read and you just may have me hooked. They reminded me so much of the comics that my parent would allow me to read only on vacation as a kid.

The trick will be finding a new series that available that starts from the first volume when I take these back on Tuesday. I don't want to start out all out of order.

Our Librarian says that they fly out of there like hotcakes, so it is best to put hold on the ones you want.

Thanks for expanding my horizons. The artwork in theme makes the creative painter in me giggle. I look at that graphics and think, hey, I can paint that! Cool!

What did you think of Austenland? I enjoyed that one. I've heard great things about Diary of a Part-Time Indian and BoneMan's Daughters. I like Ted Dekker's books but I haven't read that one yet. Tantalize sounds really good too. I keep meaning to try one of Cynthia Leititch Smith's books. I hope you enjoy your reading this week.

Here is what I'm reading.

At first I thought you were ranking The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian 3/9. I was shocked (I really enjoyed that book) until I realized it was a date. I can be so dim sometimes.

Anyway, looks like you had a great week of reading. Glad you were able to find the L.J. Smith books you needed. I haven't read any of the Vampire Diaries books yet, but I definitely understand wanting to move right on to the next book in a series.

Happy Reading!
